tHE GATHERING
A FALL YOGA + fOOD sERIES
for the Ones Holding It Together
Four nights of movement, real food, and honest conversation — because you can't keep giving from a tank that's beginning to run dry.
September 25 · October 23 ·
November 13 · December 4
MOVE. nOURISH. cONNECT.
Fall has a way of piling even more onto the dozen roles we're already carrying.
The one who feeds everyone. Keeps the peace. Remembers what no one else remembers. Holds it all together.
It's easy to lose track of the person underneath it all, including what we actually need.
The Gathering is four evenings spread throughout the fall. We'll move a little, eat a really good dinner, talk about things that matter, and give ourselves permission to stop being productive for a couple of hours.
Some nights will be lighter. Some will go a little deeper.
Every night will have good food, good movement, and good company.
No green juice. No homework. Nothing to prove.
Come as you are.
WHAT TO EXPECT
At every Gathering series workshop:
🧘♀️ Movement - A short, feel-good yoga practice. No experience required. No Lycra Olympics.
💫 A few moments of meditation - to breathe, reset, and reconnect
🍴 Dinner - A home-cooked meal made from Maggie's recipes. Sit down. Someone else is feeding you tonight.
💬 Conversation - A little reflection, a little honesty, and plenty of room for the conversation to wander.
✨ Good company - Come with someone. Come alone. Either way, pull up a chair.
Please bring your own yoga mat and any props you like. Additionally, come dressed in comfortable clothing and bring your own water bottle.
Given our topics, we welcome children and young adults to stay home these evenings.
FOUR NIGHTS. FOUR REASONS TO GATHER.
-
Before the calendar gets away from you.
Summer's loose schedule is gone and the calendar's already filling back in.
We're taking one night that's just for stretching, eating, and doing absolutely nothing productive short of caring for ourselves.
Leave armed with a few short movement breaks you can actually keep doing after tonight. A meditation you'll want to steal for the next time your brain won't quit. A second brownie to enjoy at home, in pjs.
On the table: chicken salad, good snacks + brownies that don't apologize for existing.
-
A little deeper. Still very much us.
The version of your body you grew up with. The one you're living in now. And the version you're passing down whether you mean to or not. Let’s talk about and to them all.
We'll use gentle movement and honest conversation to explore body image, aging, and what it might look like to develop a more compassionate, realistic perspective.
SPECIAL GUEST
Lauren Kubik, LCSW
Supportive Solutions Counseling, LLCWe'll finish with a chocolate truffle meditation, because some lessons land better with actual chocolate involved.
On the table: warm vegan soup + homemade bread + herb butter.
-
Not all exhaustion is the same.
You take care of everyone. Tonight, everyone takes care of you.
Join Maggie and special guest Jacquie Hefner for an evening exploring the four dimensions of energy:
physical · mental · emotional · spiritual
Through gentle movement and guided reflection, you'll figure out where your energy has been running low and leave with one small, sustainable practice you can begin the very next day.
Small enough to be realistic.
Powerful enough to matter. On the table: snacks + something with a little sparkle in a cup.
-
Less agenda. More permission.
You've got the pieces. Now let's put them together.
This is our wrap-up night: open-format yoga, a reframe on holiday stress that actually works, and a little time to look back at the fall and acknowledge what you did, didn't do, survived, enjoyed, and learned.
Flow freely.
Hold child's pose the entire time.
Both earn a gold star.
On the table: cauliflower, potato + chickpea tikka masala with warm pita, followed by dark chocolate.
Because it's December and everything is dark except your mood by the end of class.
COME FOR ONE. cOME FOR ALL FOUR.
